Today, I happily received the long-awaited Kodak Ektachrome E100 4x5 sheet film. With the newly released E100 120 roll film also in hand, I look forward to a photoshoot this week to test out the goods. Thank you, Kodak!
A timely arrival of the newly released Kodak Ektachrome E100 transparency film in the 120 format, which promises to be a superlative & enduring tool in the camera bag of the creative photographer. Thank you Kodak!
Along with a plethora of analog photographers, I am thrilled about the impending release of the long-awaited Kodak Ektachrome E100 in 120 roll and 4x5 sheet formats. Ever since the announcement of the development of these formats in January 2019, I have been dreaming of the artistic possibilities with this transparency film.
Since E100 was released in 135 format last year, I have been impressed with the quality of this film. The mood, color, contrast, and detail are superb. In particular, the greens rendered by this film are vibrant and true-to-life. I anticipate that the quality of E100 in the larger formats will be nothing short of spectacular.
As with E100 35mm, I intend to use the 120 and 4x5 formats predominantly for landscapes. My medium and large format cameras await in earnest. :)
