After having patiently waited weeks for the right light and cloud cover to materialize, I am pleased that I captured my first decent sunset shot of the winter. After a couple of very good rain falls this month (much needed in Southern California), Nature finally delivered the goods.
In my humble opinion, winter is the best season of the year for enjoying and photographing sunsets in coastal California, due to the exquisite quality of light and cloud cover. On this particular evening, with chilly winds blowing in from the Pacific and burgeoning cloud cover taking form, within minutes of the sun setting a splendid visual display of crimson, gold, and magenta lit up the sky. I think this exposure captured the mood and the beauty quite nicely. Hopefully, Nature will come through again soon so that this uplifting experience can be re-lived. :-)
