Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, September 1, 2013
In my return visit to Iceland, I spent my first few days in the Hrífunes area of Suðerlandi visiting wonderful friends, who kindly pointed me toward this area for exploration. What I found was this spectacular winding canyon that was lined with pristine moss with a turquoise stream coursing through.
Alas, as the weather greeted us with frequent rain here, I was only able to take a few camera exposures. Nevertheless, the peaceful and breathtaking hike along this canyon was memorable.
